The Honorary Degree and Awards Committee of the Faculty Senate invites nominations for Faculty Awards for the 2011-2012 academic year in the following areas:

The awards will carry a $5,000 stipend. These awards are intended to recognize and reward outstanding achievement in teaching, research and creative activities, service, advising, mentorship, engagement, and librarianship.
In the nominating process, all nominations should be based on hard empirical evidence; this is most critical. Second, all files must follow the guidelines; those failing to do so will not be considered. Third, faculty must be nominated by a colleague; the process does not allow self-nominations.
The Faculty Senate Honorary Degree and Awards Committee will evaluate and rank the files. It will then forward its selections to the Provost.
Awards will be presented at the annual Faculty Convocation held during the Fall Semester, 2012.
The Faculty Award application process is now fully online. Binders are no longer accepted.
