C. University Core Curriculum Oversight Committee Report–Joann Brown, Chair, UCCOC(Course materials) 1. MOTION: The Faculty Senate approves that students who enroll in (and pass) the pilot sections and labs of the proposed Great Ideas in Science course during summer C and fall 2010 be permitted to count this course and lab toward the completion of the Life or Physical Sciences University Core Curriculum requirement. 2. MOTION: The Faculty Senate approves the inclusion of the following courses into the University Core Curriculum to satisfy the indicated requirements:
“Our Coastal Environment: From the Bay to the World”
to satisfy either the Life Sciences or Physical Sciences requirement.
"Foundations of Global Learning in Humanities: How We Know What We Know"
to satisfy the Humanities requirement.
“Artistic Expressions in Global Society” to satisfy the Arts requirement.
“International Nutrition, Public Health and Economic Development” to satisfy the Social Inquiry, Societies and Identities requirement.
“Loosening Cultural Comfort, Gaining Global Perspectives” to satisfy the Social Inquiry, Societies and Identities requirement.
